A Double Plus Good Update

Over the past two months we have been fortunate enough to interview three legendary GameFan luminaries including Terry Wolfinger, James Bacon and Eric “Shidoshi” Patterson.  Each of them brought their unique talents and insights to the show (just look at @VGNPizza’s new twitter avatar) and we covered as cavalcade of subjects that ranged from the state of game coverage on the internet to transgender issues in gaming.

All of that talkin’ and interviewin’ has really had an impact on our show’s traffic this month:

*Please ignore January’s stats as they are apparently in Solid Snake stealth mode on this report.Loosely translated, these stats say HOLY FARKING SNIT!!!   The ++Good Games podcast has been downloaded nearly 50,000 times in the month of March alone with 20,000 downloads being shared between the Shidoshi and James Bacon episodes.  These numbers are staggering for us as when we started this podcast (just under two years ago) our goal was to reach 25,000 downloads over the course of six months.  We’ve just doubled that number in just three weeks!

We know that our guests have had a lot to do with the success over the past few weeks but also know that our loyal fans have been busy spreading the word on Twitter, Facebook and a myriad of other social networks.  Fans like @NinjaPatBeck, @Dasfoldingfive, @RivalShadeX, @madtyger, @googie_g15, @yexiaobo, @Dirnato and others have done an exceptional job of keeping the fires of the show stoked.  Not only our fans, but to our friends over at 4colorrebellion.com (@4colorrebellion) for spreading the word about our interviews and a very special thank you to iTunes for featuring our atop their “New and Noteworthy” section this month.
